St Joseph College Of Engineering  

HI. I studied in this college. I think the following review will help everyone reading this.
I'm from the batch 2010-2014. I'm a day scholar, so I'm writing this review in my view.

1. Infrastructure

Not an outstanding infrastructure but it's ok for a good institution. Only thing bad about the infrastructure is the toilet facilities were not good. Road leading to the college from the high ways will be at very worst condition in the rainy season. Students from college transport escapes, but the students travelling by out bus suffers a lot.

2. Food

Worst canteen ever in an engineering college. It must not be called as a canteen but to be called as a small shop. Food and food court is not available for the day scholars. Day scholars must bring lunch and must not eat in the classroom. We have to eat in the open ground.

3. Sports & Culturals

I must ask what is meant by sports & culturals. Because at the start of every semester they promise for sports & culturals but it did not happen in our life. It was a day dream for us.

4. Transport

Transport is available to all major parts of chennai. I was kanchipuram. When I was joining the college they promised transport is available for our route but at the end I was made to travel in DMI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING's(same group of institution) bus. It was so annoying. We have to getup earlier, start earlier, reach earlier but at evening for return start late, reach late. Because the bus will start at either sessions for the DMI students, whose college is situated 20 km apart from us.

5. Most Annoying factor

Fine! Fine! Fine! Fine for everything. Fine amount varies from Rs.25 to Rs.500. They even collect amount of Rs.100 for handing over the scholarship cheques provided by the government.

6. Faculties

Only some faculties are good at teaching. All the others choose to give notes and conduct exam to produce result. This makes you the purpose of learning engineering a waste one.

There will be no support from HOD's. If they don't like the batch or any set of students, they will be cornered. We were not allowed to conduct SYMPOSIUM because there was a problem between us and the HOD.

Generally, Talents other than studies will not be awarded. Firstly they will not be given a chance to prove themselves they are talented.

My final verdict as a student from this college, PLEASE DO NOT SELECT THIS COLLEGE IF YOU DREAM TO EXCEL IN YOUR TALENTED DEPARTMENT.
