Non verbal reasoning test is the test which enables the employers to understand the fluid intelligence of the candidate. Fluid intelligence is also called as lateral thinking. Candidates are able to spot patterns, logical rules and styles in new data, assimilate this information and relate it to solve problems.

Employers use the non verbal reasoning test to understand the candidate’s ability to identify the styles, prototypes, and associations in organizational data like consumer purchasing behavior or market research. How the candidate is able to tackle the bigger picture and solve problems quickly. Many jobs require the candidates to have reasonable non verbal reasoning skills.

Through the tests employers are able to understand the candidate’s capacity to learn new skills, analyze information and apply it to real work related situations. Also understand the candidate’s ability to integrate and process any work related data in a logical way.

Typically, the non verbal reasoning tests contain a series of shapes based on one or several logical rules. This group or series is followed by a question that requires you to find the next or missing shape. There are around four to five answers. The tests are timed and candidate should complete each question within 20 to 30 seconds.
